Need an affordable PA with excellent clarity that packs a punch? Want people to really feel that kick drum? After a reliable sound engineer that pays attention to detail and cares about getting the most of the sound? Want your audience to be fully immersed in bass frequencies? Want vocals to cut through the mix?

Our affordable hire packages for the community include a high quality PA and sound engineer, with an option to include subwoofers. We have packages for live concerts and dance events of up to approximately 200 people in mid-Cornwall. Rates will vary depending on what you need and whether we need to bring extra crew. This offer is intended to:

• Support artists/bands, promoters and small venues in Cornwall
• Support new music of any genre

Equipment list:

• 2 x RCF ART 715-A 1400W active speakers (amazing vocal clarity and sound projection)
• 2 x FBT HiMaxx 100Sa subwoofers (these are 900W each with an 18″ inch neodynium woofers – they pack a punch!)
• 1 x Soundcraft 16 channel mixing desk, including Lexicon studio grade effects, and a USB-B out for stereo recording of performances
• Up to three high quality monitors depending on requirements
• DI boxes, stagebox, cables, extension cables, speaker stands
• Vocal, instrument and drum mics (Shure, AKG etc) and mic stands

Eligibility

We want to support new music in Cornwall, so we’ve made packages affordable. For this reason, our community rate isn’t currently available for cover bands or weddings/birthdays etc.

2. Location
3. If you are a promoter (or venue/artist acting as promoter), confirmation that you will pay artists fairly
4. The kind of artists playing (e.g. electronic acts; live bands), and let us know who those artists are if you already know
5. Tech specs (if already available)

FAQs

Q: I have my own sound engineer; can I hire the PA separately?
A: Our PA is used for several community projects so we need to use our own team to make sure it is kept in excellent condition. Our excellent sound engineers are very experienced and well reputed for live sound in the area.

Q: Do I need to give the sound engineer a rider?
A: Yes please.

Q: Do you have a rate for cover bands, weddings, or corporate events?
A: Please enquire. Our priority is to make sure the PA is available for performances of original music, but if there is free space we might be able to hire at a corporate rate.

Q: I’m interested in learning sound engineering; can I shadow you?
