Book now for the 2025 Summer Concert

Inspired by Cornwall’s distinctive industries (space, marine, renewables, and critical minerals), this concert will take you on a stratospheric voyage through three semi-improvised musical performances and a sea of live visuals created and performed by our electronic ensembles. Using modular synths, drum machines, samplers, and live visual programming software, the performances will highlight the musical and artistic application of signal processing techniques that are also used in those industries. Featuring live electronics and visuals, expect plenty of cosmic blips, earthy beats, atmospheric drones, subterranean glitches… and space cats.

“The sound they make is so full that I assume they’re performing to a backing tape, but I’m swiftly corrected: it is all completely live.” – The Guardian

The Cornwall Youth Noise Orchestra launched in 2022, and has been championed by BBC Radio 3, The Guardian, BBC 6 Music, and Electronic Sound. This concert is part of a project made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council England, Outlands Network, and support from Falmouth University.

This event may contain flickering or flashing images, and occasionally loud or complex sounds.
